Vice President, Patient Experience

About the role

This role provides enterprise‑wide strategic leadership for Ochsner Health’s patient, family, and consumer experience agenda. The executive establishes and advances a comprehensive patient‑experience strategy that promotes patient‑centered care, service excellence, a compassionate culture, and measurable improvements in patient perceptions across all settings.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure quality of care and patient satisfaction through performance reviews, accreditation, regulatory compliance, and patient advocacy scores.
• Build an engaged workforce by providing leadership, talent development, and collaborative employee relationships.
• Oversee research, education, and training to support cutting‑edge patient care and services.
• Maintain operational profitability with sound financial performance.
• Develop and execute long‑term strategic business plans through relationship building, communication, planning, and fundraising.
• Manage physical and technological infrastructure and create organizational structures, programs, and processes.
• Adapt interactions to specific patient populations, respecting privacy and tailoring communication styles.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Business Administration or a related field (required).
• At least 10 years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting (required).
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Healthcare, Business Administration or related field.
• Preferred: Prior leadership experience with direct and matrix reports across multiple facilities.
• Preferred certifications: Certified Patient Experience Professional (CPEP), Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB).
