Vice President, Economic Opportunity

About the role

We are looking for a visionary Vice President of Economic Opportunity to lead a global portfolio that advances economic opportunity and sustainable development. The role provides senior leadership across a complex set of programs, ensuring financial, technical and programmatic excellence while fostering innovation and measurable impact.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑lead the development and execution of a multi‑year Economic Opportunity strategy aligned with organizational priorities.
• Guide the evolution of technical approaches, evidence‑based programming and learning agendas across the portfolio.
• Oversee a global portfolio of projects, ensuring implementation quality, financial stewardship, compliance and impact.
• Provide strategic guidance on resource allocation, partnership priorities and portfolio growth.
• Drive revenue targets, donor deliverables and program outcomes.
• Represent FHI 360 with clients, partners and funders, contributing to business development and external engagement.
• Lead and mentor senior directors, directors, managers and project teams.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in large‑scale development, economic opportunity or related fields.
• Strong track record of strategic planning, portfolio management and results‑oriented execution.
• Experience securing and managing donor funding and delivering on revenue targets.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and partnership building skills.
• Ability to foster innovation, learning and continuous improvement.
