Vice President, Corporate & Financial Sponsor Structuring

About the role

Santander’s U.S. Corporate Investment Banking division is seeking a Vice President to lead Corporate & Financial Sponsor Structuring. You will partner with Sales and Trading to originate, design, price and deliver bespoke Rates and FX solutions for corporates, financial sponsors and project‑finance clients across the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales teams to build a pipeline of differentiated trade ideas and automate recurring structuring processes.
• Originate, structure and price Rates and FX solutions tailored to client objectives, including structured FX, FX options and deal‑contingent products.
• Participate in client meetings, gather feedback and refine trade ideas and execution approaches.
• Coordinate with Trading, Banking, Financing and XVA partners globally to align pricing, risk, documentation and delivery timelines.
• Lead XVA and RWA optimization for both collateralised and uncollateralised counterparties, incorporating specific CSAs.
• Pitch and manage new‑issue swaps, ensuring seamless connectivity between clients, traders and operations.
• Contribute to new product development by identifying market needs, defining requirements and supporting go‑to‑market readiness.

Required profile

• Senior finance professional with extensive experience in structuring Rates and FX products.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with sales, trading, risk and legal teams.
• Strong analytical mindset and client‑focused communication skills.
• Track record of delivering innovative solutions in a fast‑paced investment‑banking environment.
