Vice Chair of Quality in Radiology

About the role

The Vice Chair of Quality (Radiology) leads Ochsner Health Medical Center’s quality, safety and outcomes initiatives for the radiology department. This senior clinical leader works in a matrixed environment, partnering with physicians, quality improvement staff and health‑system leaders to drive national‑level performance.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with clinical staff and quality leadership to align practice with the organization’s quality, safety and patient‑experience agenda.
• Provide structured leadership to departmental professionals, fostering growth, communication and innovation.
• Develop, monitor, report and improve activities related to service lines in partnership with service chiefs and administration.
• Lead the creation of policies and procedures for quality improvement and medical safety, and participate in accreditation activities.
• Measure system performance, benchmark against peer academic health systems and recommend process improvements.

Required profile

• MD or equivalent clinical degree with recent practice and board certification (strongly preferred) and a Louisiana medical license or eligibility.
• 10+ years of experience in an academic health‑system setting, with a national reputation for quality leadership.
• Proven track record of implementing large‑scale quality initiatives and driving behavioral change across an enterprise.
• Strong communication, analytical and project‑management skills, with the ability to synthesize complex ideas for diverse audiences.
