About the role

The Vice Chair of Clinical Operations in Radiology provides leadership for hospital radiology services, ensuring efficient, high‑quality patient care across all Ochsner locations. Working closely with the Chair of Radiology and department leaders, this role shapes strategic direction, resource allocation, and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and direct radiology operations to achieve economic viability and high clinical standards.
• Serve as primary liaison between the Radiology Department and Section Heads/Division Chiefs.
• Plan staffing and scheduling in collaboration with clinical leaders.
• Resolve conflicts within the clinical enterprise and coordinate with other departments.
• Develop strategic recommendations on staffing, equipment capacity, new initiatives, and market trends.
• Participate in facilities planning, budgeting, compensation plan maintenance, and departmental policy development.

Required profile

• MD or DO (or foreign equivalent) with Board Eligibility/Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams creatively and synergistically.
