Veterinary Sales Manager – Syracuse, NY

About the role

As a Territory Sales Manager for the Veterinary Sales Team, you will be the face of Pro Plan Veterinary Diets® for veterinarians in the Syracuse area. You will promote specialized nutrition products that support the health of dogs and cats, leveraging Purina’s scientific research and expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Promote the Pro Plan Veterinary Diet® product line to veterinary clinics.
• Grow the Purina Veterinary business by using innovative sales and marketing concepts to achieve assigned goals.
• Call on existing and potential veterinary clients to create targeted, brand‑building sales and marketing programs.
• Develop and implement strategic business plans within the assigned geography.
• Provide nutritional pet‑food expertise to veterinarians through clinic calls, product detailing, in‑hospital trainings and special events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 1 year of sales experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with satisfactory driving record and required automobile insurance.
• Ability to travel, including overnight, and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to relocate to the Syracuse territory.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lb and perform frequent bending, reaching, standing and sitting for extended periods.
