Veterinary Sales Manager – Richmond, VA

About the role

As a Territory Sales Manager for Nestlé Purina’s Veterinary Sales team, you will be the face of the Pro Plan Veterinary Diets® brand to veterinarians across the Richmond, VA territory. You will promote specialized nutrition for dogs and cats, build relationships with clinic staff, and help grow market share while supporting pet health.

Key responsibilities

• Promote the Pro Plan Veterinary Diet® product line to existing and prospective veterinary clients.
• Develop and execute strategic business plans to achieve sales volume and qualitative goals.
• Conduct clinic calls, product detailing, in‑hospital trainings and special events to provide nutritional expertise.
• Provide consultative, top‑tier customer service and act as a trusted advisor to veterinarians.
• Collaborate with regional teams, distributors and cross‑functional partners to drive business growth.
• Identify clinic needs, leverage consumer insights and influence recommendations with integrity.
• Travel throughout the assigned geography, including overnight stays, to manage the territory.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 1 year of sales experience.
• Valid state driver’s license, satisfactory driving record and required automobile insurance coverage.
• Ability to travel, including overnight, and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to relocate to the territory if not already residing there.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lb and perform frequent bending, reaching and standing.
