Vascular Surgeon (Physician)

About the role

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Vascular Surgeon to join Ochsner Health’s Southern Vascular team in Lafayette, providing comprehensive open and endovascular vascular care for the Acadiana region.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a full spectrum of vascular procedures including aorta/femoral/popliteal bypasses, carotid endarterectomy, amputations, wound exploration/debridement, and venous interventions.
• Maintain a clinic‑based practice with dedicated operating‑room time and participate in weekly call rotation for inpatient and outpatient consults.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of general surgeons, cardiovascular surgeons, interventional neurologists, and interventional nephrologists.
• Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system and support APPs in patient management.

Required profile

• Board certified or board eligible in Vascular Surgery (MD or DO) with an active medical license.
• Willingness to maintain an active clinical practice within an integrated health‑care system.

Required skills

• Open vascular surgery techniques.
• Endovascular procedures and hybrid operating‑room capabilities.
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR.
• Experience in cath‑lab and dialysis access care.
