Vascular Neurologist – Faculty Position (Assistant to Full Professor)

About the role

The Department of Neurology seeks a full‑time Vascular Neurologist to join its faculty at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. This academic appointment combines clinical care, teaching, research, and service within a multidisciplinary stroke team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient care for stroke, TIA, and other cerebrovascular disorders.
• Participate in acute stroke evaluation, including telestroke and inpatient consultations.
• Collaborate with neurosurgery, neurointerventional radiology, emergency medicine, and rehabilitation services.
• Contribute to departmental call schedules and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, fellows, and other trainees.
• Develop and deliver educational conferences, lectures, and curriculum content.
• Conduct scholarly activities such as clinical, translational, health‑services, or outcomes research.
• Maintain an active academic portfolio appropriate to faculty rank.

Required profile

• MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
• Completion of an ACGME‑accredited Neurology residency.
• Fellowship training in Vascular Neurology.
• Board certified or board eligible in Neurology and Vascular Neurology.
• Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in Florida.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient‑centered care, education, and academic excellence.
