U.S. Transactional Tax Lead – Private Markets

About the role

KKR is seeking an experienced tax professional to lead U.S. transactional tax execution for its private markets platform. Based in New York, the role partners with deal teams across the transaction lifecycle, providing real‑time tax support for infrastructure and private equity investments.

Key responsibilities

• Structure U.S. transactions across KKR’s private markets platform, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and tax risk parameters.
• Coordinate top‑level structuring for global investments and collaborate with regional transactional tax leads for cross‑jurisdictional consistency.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and external advisors to deliver timely and consistent tax execution.
• Support transaction‑adjacent tax matters, including restructurings, integrations, and exits of portfolio investments.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in U.S. transactional tax, preferably within private equity or infrastructure investments.
• Strong judgment, project‑management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively across investment, legal, and finance teams.
