Universal Banker

About the role

The Universal Banker will serve as the primary point of contact for customers at Austin Bank’s branch in Palestine, delivering comprehensive banking services and promoting the bank’s product portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Explain bank products and services and assist customers in selecting appropriate solutions.
• Conduct customer interviews to assess financial needs and recommend suitable products.
• Open deposit accounts, process teller transactions, and take loan applications.
• Cross‑sell bank products and identify referral opportunities.
• Answer telephone inquiries, take messages, and provide assistance as needed.
• Approve loans within authorized limits or forward for further approval.
• Ensure all documentation for deposits and loans is complete and accurate.
• Maintain compliance with banking regulations, internal policies and confidentiality procedures.
• Participate in branch teamwork, attend meetings and contribute to departmental goals.
• Provide backup support and cross‑train in other areas to maintain service quality.
