Union Porter – Community Maintenance

About the role

Ensures the physical aspects of the community are maintained, meeting standards for grounds, amenities, and overall curb appeal while supporting service team members.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, pet droppings and keep common areas tidy.
• Remove trash from vacant apartments, transport it to dumpsters or storage, and maintain storage areas.
• Complete minor and routine service requests and assist the make‑ready specialist during turn processes.
• Change locks according to property policy and verify pool gate functionality for safety compliance.
• Distribute resident notices and communications as needed.
• Report hazards or dangerous situations to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions, and address maintenance complaints sensitively.
• Participate in safety meetings, complete OSHA training, and report accidents accurately.

Required profile

• Ability to perform physical tasks and maintain cleanliness across large community areas.
• Strong attention to detail for safety checks, lock changes, and hazard reporting.
• Good communication skills for interacting with residents and team members.
• Commitment to follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies.
