Unarmed Security Officer (Vehicle Patrol Driver)

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer in Grand Prairie, Texas. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas at an aerospace and defense location, keeping a visible presence to deter security incidents and providing customer service. The position is a driving role that requires a valid driver's license.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors and vendors by carrying out security procedures, site policies and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and keep accurate entry and incident records.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms and critical situations, notifying the right people as directed.
• Carry out regular and random patrols of office areas, building perimeters, parking areas and restricted locations to spot and report unusual activity.
• Support a professional, controlled environment at an aerospace and defense-related billing location while following company and site protocols.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Valid driver's license, in line with Allied Universal driver policy.
• High school diploma or equivalent; at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• Preferred: comfortable using a computer or tablet, able to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Background investigation and drug screening as a condition of employment; licensing may be required depending on state or local law.

• Pay of $21.01 per hour.
• Part-time schedule: Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Sunday 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
