Unarmed Security Officer - Patrol & Tablet Logging

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a full-time unarmed security officer for a technology, media and telecommunications location in Fort Worth, Texas. The officer patrols assigned areas, maintains a visible presence to deter security incidents and assists with access control, while providing customer service and clear communication.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors and delivery personnel by carrying out security procedures, site policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access concerns and critical situations, notifying site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of offices, warehouses, loading areas, parking lots and perimeters.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and keep accurate logs, reports and other required documentation.
• Report unusual activity, facility conditions and potential hazards according to site procedures.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• Preferred: access control and badge experience, comfort with computers or tablets, customer service experience, and a guard card or license.
• A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.
• Applicants must pass a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law; licensing requirements depend on state and local law.
