Unarmed Patrol Officer - Healthcare Setting

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer for patrol operations in Decatur, GA. As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, keep a visible presence to deter security-related incidents and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff. The position is full time.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff and vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established protocols and notifying the right people.
• Carry out regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, entrances, parking areas and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and spot potential security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, give directions and assistance, and report suspicious behaviour, hazards and policy violations.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and keep clear communication with leadership, site staff and emergency responders.

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen, as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state and local laws.
• A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.
