Truck Maintenance Parts Coordinator

About the role

Avis Budget Group is hiring a Truck Maintenance Parts Coordinator in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The role reviews and approves maintenance work and repair orders for the fleet and towing equipment, ensures charges follow system guidelines, and works with maintenance managers and providers to keep fleet repairs cost-effective.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve all repairs and repair orders, and ensure unassigned work is assigned to the right provider
• Handle inbound pre-approval calls for maintenance and respond within company guidelines
• Enter work orders accurately into the Maintenance Management System and generate minor reports
• Use Estimated Return to Service reports to speed up vehicle returns to rentable status and control downtime
• Negotiate pricing for parts and labor to meet system standards and work with vendors on national account programs
• Validate exceptions to system guidelines with field maintenance personnel and recommend vendor changes
• Support the Field Maintenance Management team, coordinate fleet rotation for preventive maintenance, and help prepare salvage packages
• Monitor trade and sale units, dispose of obsolete inventory, and perform other special assignments

Required profile

• 3 years of background or hands-on maintenance experience in fleet or truck repairs
• Working knowledge of repair times, labor rates and parts costs
• Tire sales and service experience is a plus
• Technical school degree preferred

Required skills

• Strong math and analytical skills, including analyzing repair data and cost figures
• Excel spreadsheet knowledge preferred
• Clear verbal and written communication, professional phone skills and strong customer service
