Trauma Critical Care & Acute Care Surgeon

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Trauma Critical Care/Acute Care Surgeon to join its Level 2 Trauma Center in Lafayette, LA. The position requires board certification or eligibility in Surgical Critical Care and General Surgery. You will work within an integrated health‑care system that serves the Acadiana region and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 24‑hour TICU coverage seven days a week.
• Rotate for Trauma/Acute Care Surgery with an average of 3.5 primary call nights and backup call on 3‑5 nights.
• Deliver separate critical‑care coverage for surgery and trauma patients on a one‑in‑three‑week schedule.
• Participate in care at a Level 2 Trauma Center.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Surgical Critical Care.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.
