Transportation Demand Management Program Manager

About the role

Alta Planning + Design is seeking a Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Program Manager to lead and implement regional TDM initiatives for the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO). The role focuses on shifting travel behaviors, reducing single‑occupancy vehicle trips, and supporting sustainable, multimodal transportation solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and implement projects, programs, and initiatives that support CAMPO’s regional TDM program.
• Design and execute outreach programs aimed at changing travel behaviors of diverse commuter groups, especially around construction impacts and non‑drive‑alone trips.
• Lead regional coordination meetings, prepare presentations, capture meeting notes, develop action items, and update work plans.
• Conduct employer‑facing outreach in sectors such as warehousing, logistics, hospitality, retail, and technology.
• Plan and deliver public engagement activities, including transportation fairs, kiosks, lunch‑and‑learn sessions, and other in‑person events.
• Collect and analyze data to inform program measurement, evaluation, and data‑driven decision making.
• Manage partners, stakeholders, and sub‑consultants using high‑level project management practices.

Required profile

• Experience in active, multimodal, and sustainable transportation planning.
• Demonstrated ability to lead meetings, coordinate stakeholders, and manage outreach initiatives.
• Strong analytical mindset with a data‑led approach to program evaluation.
• Passion for social justice, safety, and environmental resilience.
