Transportation Agent – Customer Portfolio Management

About the role

As a Transportation Agent at Expeditors you will own a portfolio of customers, handling bookings, scheduling, and delivery coordination for truck shipments across the Upper Midwest. You will ensure accurate documentation, timely data entry, and proactive communication to meet client delivery expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Enter and maintain shipment data in Expeditors’ operational system.
• Track and trace truck shipments, providing status updates and reporting.
• Coordinate truck deliveries across Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
• Prepare and verify client billing for transportation services.
• Interpret operating procedures to fulfill customer instructions.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with company and U.S. regulations.
• Meet KPI and performance standards set by the company.

Required profile

• Previous logistics experience or equivalent training (approximately 2 years).
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Excellent problem‑solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle customer inquiries.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Word.
• Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint.
