Transit Operations Supervisor

About the role

The City of Ojai is looking for a motivated Transit Operations Supervisor to lead the daily functions of the Ojai Trolley Service. This position will manage staff, ensure safety compliance, and support high‑quality public transportation for the community.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise trolley drivers and provide backup driving when needed.
• Coordinate transit schedules, route planning, and service adjustments.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance and enforce safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve service issues.

Required profile

• Experience in transit operations or transportation management.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication abilities.
• Problem‑solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a California Commercial Class C driver’s license with Passenger Endorsement.
