Trading Operations Specialist

About the role

Tower Research Capital is seeking a Trading Operations Specialist to monitor high‑volume live trading, manage portfolio risk, and support the automated trading infrastructure. The role works closely with engineering and trading teams to ensure smooth, scalable operations across global markets.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor high‑volume live trading and portfolio risk in real time.
• Contribute to the automated trading operations codebase.
• Manage ongoing projects with various internal support teams.
• Coordinate software and hardware upgrades.
• Apply programmatic solutions to scale and expand trading operations.
• Resolve discrepancies between trading positions, broker statements, and internal applications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of professional experience in a related field.
• Strong software development skills in Python.
• Working knowledge of the Linux operating system.
• Exceptional analytical abilities and data‑driven decision‑making.
• Strong understanding of PNL and risk reporting applications.
• Familiarity with current market structure and regulatory developments.
• Ability to diagnose problems in complex real‑time systems with minimal guidance.
• Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
