Trading Assistant – Hedge Fund (Up to $200k TC, Hybrid)

About the role

This Trading Assistant position sits within the trade support / middle‑office team of a global multi‑strategy hedge fund in New York. The role is highly desk‑facing, working side‑by‑side with Portfolio Managers to provide real‑time assistance during live trading.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver immediate support for live trading activity, including trade booking and flow queries.
• Monitor and reconcile P&L and risk metrics throughout the day.
• Handle corporate actions, lifecycle events, and related documentation.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Portfolio Managers on operational issues.
• Collaborate with technology and automation teams to improve front‑to‑back infrastructure.

Required profile

• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced trading environment with direct exposure to markets.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate clearly with Portfolio Managers and cross‑functional teams.
