Tooling Maintenance Technician

About the role

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is looking for a Tooling Maintenance Technician to join our team in Kinston, NC. Our team manufactures crucial aircraft components, building critical composite structures for the Airbus A350 XWB.

Key responsibilities

• Dismantle, move, assemble, install, and repair industrial machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, or verbal instructions.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs such as filter changes, lubrication, and light replacements.
• Set up and operate machine tools and fabrication equipment to rework or produce new parts.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis, collaborate with vendors, engineering, and other trades to solve equipment problems and develop corrective actions.
• Repair and build lay‑up tools and maintain tools of various types and materials.
• Use hand and power tools, PLCs, CNC machines, and follow wiring diagrams, sketches, and specifications.

Required profile

• Willing and able to work any shift.
• High School Diploma/GED or Workkeys Assessment completion.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Required skills

• TIG welding and laser welding experience.
• Proficiency with PLC and CNC programming.
• Use of hand and power tools, hoists, dollies, and rollers.
• Root‑cause analysis and preventive maintenance techniques.
