Tire Mechanic – Full‑Time Position

About the role

RLC is seeking a dedicated Tire Mechanic to join its Marietta, GA service center. This full‑time role works Monday‑Friday on various shifts, offering a fast‑paced environment where you will maintain and repair tires on class 8 fleet vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Change and repair tractor‑trailer tires according to company standards.
• Mount and dismount truck and car tires safely.
• Operate truck balancers both on‑ and off‑the vehicle.
• Perform service calls on the road using a service truck.
• Maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and adhere to DOT regulations.
• Assist with additional duties as directed by management.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of commercial tire experience.
• Ability to lift up to 125 lb and stand on concrete for extended periods.
• Current operator’s license.
• Good driving record.

Required skills

• Commercial tire experience.
• Mounting and dismounting truck and car tires.
• Operating truck balancers.
• Knowledge of DOT tire information and out‑of‑service criteria.
• Identifying retread vs. new tires and wheel types.
• Using a 1‑inch air wrench and basic hand tools.
• Properly tightening wheels and repairing tractor‑trailer tires.
