Thrift Store Team Lead

About the role

Cornerstone Support Services is seeking a dependable, service‑oriented Team Lead to oversee daily operations of its upscale thrift store, Thrift & Threads. The Team Lead acts as Manager on Duty when the Store Manager and Assistant Manager are unavailable, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as Manager on Duty, providing leadership and direction to staff during assigned shifts.
• Supervise Cashier/Sales Associates to ensure accurate transactions and a well‑maintained sales floor.
• Oversee Stockroom Associates in receiving, sorting, tagging, pricing donations, and restocking merchandise.
• Coordinate Donation Pickup Driver and Laborer for safe, efficient pickups and deliveries.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and daily reporting.
• Maintain neat, organized, and visually appealing merchandise displays.
• Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback professionally.
• Promote a positive, mission‑driven work culture aligned with Cornerstone values.

Required profile

• Previous experience in retail, customer service, or team leadership.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead by example and foster a collaborative team environment.
• Comfortable with physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lb and standing for extended periods.
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
