Test Technician

About the role

Venus Aerospace is developing next‑generation hypersonic propulsion systems. As a Test Technician you will support hands‑on testing of propulsion engines, structures and instrumentation, ensuring safe and efficient test‑stand operations.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in test activities that advance hypersonic vehicle development.
• Conduct a broad range of tests, including propulsion engine, structural, and instrumentation checkouts.
• Set up, break down, upgrade, and maintain test stands.
• Assist with additional test and operational tasks as required.
• Support extended‑duration testing at Ellington Airport.
• Operate safely and follow all safety guidelines.

Required profile

• 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Fabrication experience such as seamless tube bending, flaring, metal work, precision drilling and cleaning.
• Ability to read and interpret P&ID drawings.
• Instrumentation experience including sensor troubleshooting, wire routing, soldering and crimping.
• Proficiency operating and maintaining vacuum, hydrostatic and pneumatic pumps.
• Operational experience with forklift, sky track, boom lift and scissor lift.
• Clear communication over devices and strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of Hazmat protocols and ability to lift up to 40 lbs safely.
