Temporary Unified Communications Support Technician

About the role

The Unified Communications Support Technician provides on‑campus installation, configuration, and maintenance of Zoom Phone and analog phone systems, ensuring reliable communication services for faculty, staff, and students.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, install, and configure Zoom Phone and all its features.
• Maintain, install, and configure analog phone systems, including wiring and cabling.
• Design, monitor, and troubleshoot the unified communications platform.
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure service quality and resolve issues.

Required profile

• Knowledge of unified communications, network, server, and telecommunications concepts.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and electronic plans.
• Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Experience providing support for on‑premise and cloud‑based communication services.

Required skills

• Zoom Phone (Meetings, Webinars, Phone) configuration and support.
• Analog phone system installation, wiring, and troubleshooting.
• Microsoft Teams integration.
• Familiarity with hardware vendors such as AudioCodes, GrandStream, Ramtel.
• Network configuration and troubleshooting.
