Temporary Maintenance Technician – Student Living

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Temporary Maintenance Technician to support the Union on San Antonio student‑living community. This onsite position ensures that all building systems, common areas, and amenities meet Greystar’s standards for safety, functionality, and appearance.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete preventative maintenance work orders.
• Perform the make‑ready process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and basic painting tasks.
• Document all work orders and maintenance activities accurately and promptly.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts when feasible and minimizing waste.
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to Greystar’s risk‑management policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical trade certification preferred.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs safely.
• Strong organizational skills for tracking work orders and inventory.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.
