Temporary Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Temporary Maintenance Supervisor to oversee technical and mechanical operations for a stabilized, mid‑rise multifamily property. The role ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders and preventive maintenance, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with policies and code requirements.
• Manage the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, coordinating inspections, vendor scheduling, supplies and final quality checks.
• Maintain inventory, track material usage and reorder supplies as needed.
• Document service requests accurately and support ground‑side upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing and minor painting.
• Inspect contractor work, conduct property safety inspections and enforce OSHA, MSDS and life‑safety compliance.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of supervisory experience with maintenance technicians and porters in multifamily or mixed‑use properties.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal certification, CPO certification required; CAMT certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to respond to on‑call emergencies.
• Experience managing vendors, budgets, GL coding, purchase orders and capital projects.

Required skills

• Preventive‑maintenance programs, boilers, water softeners, recirculation pumps, sump pumps, axial flow exhaust fans, traction elevators, pool equipment and filtration systems.
• Plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems troubleshooting.
• Property management software: Happy Property, OneSite, Latch/Door, ButterflyMX, Brivo.
• Emergency response procedures, OSHA and MSDS compliance.
• Inventory control and work‑order management.
