Telehealth Physician – Independent Contractor (1099)

About the role

We are looking for board‑certified physicians to join 9amHealth as independent‑contract telehealth providers. You will deliver real‑time video consultations to members with cardiometabolic conditions, working from your own location.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct synchronous video appointments for patients with diabetes, hypertension, obesity or hyperlipidemia.
• Perform medical assessments, review histories, and address concerns within the scope of each visit.
• Issue appropriate prescriptions, referrals or lifestyle recommendations in accordance with state licensure and standards of care.
• Document each encounter accurately in the company’s electronic health record system.

Required profile

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Active board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Obesity Medicine or a related specialty.
• Experience managing type‑2 diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia or obesity.
• Current medical license in the state(s) where services will be provided.

Required skills

• Strong virtual communication and clinical decision‑making abilities.
• Familiarity with telemedicine workflows and electronic health record documentation.
