About the role

Infosys is seeking a Technology Consultant 2 to join its Telecom OSS team in Richardson, Texas. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining Java‑based microservices that support OSS/BSS platforms, leveraging cloud and container technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Document and refine business requirements as part of the elicitation process.
• Lead design discussions, capture decisions, and guide the technical team.
• Develop, test, and integrate new Java microservice features while ensuring system stability.
• Perform code reviews, manage code repositories, and apply changes to the codebase.
• Define and execute test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug‑fixes.
• Create user training materials, documentation, and support frameworks for smooth roll‑outs.
• Investigate production incidents, propose preventive measures, and improve reliability.
• Maintain comprehensive records of code, testing techniques, and support activities.

Required profile

• Strong collaborative mindset with excellent communication abilities.
• Experience handling end‑to‑end SDLC phases from requirements to implementation.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into actionable development tasks.
• Passion for software design and hands‑on coding.
