Technical Sales Manager – Advanced Metallization

About the role

The Technical Sales Manager – Advanced Metallization will join BASF’s Electronic Materials team in Hillsboro, Oregon. You will drive growth and innovation in metallization solutions for advanced semiconductor manufacturing, working closely with customers and equipment suppliers to bring next‑generation products to market.

Key responsibilities

• Identify industry trends, unmet customer needs, and key growth drivers in advanced metallization for semiconductor devices.
• Lead cross‑functional projects with US customers and deposition tool vendors, ensuring timely execution and alignment with global technical teams.
• Evaluate business potential and secure new opportunities by launching new products or expanding existing product lines.
• Initiate and foster strategic collaborations with customers and tool suppliers to accelerate technology adoption.
• Support the development and commercialization of metallization chemistries such as copper, cobalt, and ruthenium for sub‑10 nm nodes and advanced packaging.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technical sales within the semiconductor, advanced materials, or related high‑technology sectors.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and metallization technologies.
• Excellent communication and project‑management skills, with the ability to work across multiple functions and geographies.
• Track record of identifying and developing new business opportunities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of metallization chemistries (copper, cobalt, ruthenium) for advanced nodes.
• Familiarity with deposition equipment and tool vendors.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into commercial value propositions.
