Technical Publication II (E2) – Documentation Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Technical Publication II (E2) to develop, write, and edit technical sales and marketing documents for advanced semiconductor equipment. You will collaborate with production, engineering, and global support teams to ensure accurate and timely documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, write, and edit system manuals, operation instructions, reports, briefs, and proposals.
• Observe production and experimental activities to capture operating procedures and details.
• Interview production and engineering personnel to gather product technology information.
• Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, part lists, specifications, mock‑ups, and product samples to integrate technical content.
• Review published materials and recommend revisions in scope, format, or content.
• Drive suppliers to deliver documentation on schedule.

• Demonstrates expanded conceptual knowledge in technical documentation and broadens capabilities.
• Understands key business drivers and applies them to work tasks.
• Provides informal guidance to new team members.
• Solves straightforward problems using technical experience and judgment.
