About the role
Applied Materials seeks a Technical Project/Program Management Engineer to lead facility infrastructure projects in semiconductor manufacturing. The role involves preparing comprehensive project plans and driving initiatives from conception through successful completion, ensuring alignment with safety and performance standards.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans covering planning, design, implementation, and closeout phases.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams and internal resources to meet project milestones on time and within budget.
- Maintain metrics, dashboards, and tracking tools to support continuous process improvement.
- Monitor project costs, track expenditures, and provide regular budget and schedule updates to leadership.
- Partner with design and engineering teams to execute facility and infrastructure projects.
- Identify risks, root causes, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Track equipment service history, establish preventive maintenance schedules, and ensure timely service activities.
- Support facility infrastructure upgrades and equipment installations.
Required profile
- Extensive experience with facility infrastructure in semiconductor manufacturing or similar high‑tech industrial environments.
- Strong ability to review and interpret facility design drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Working knowledge of hazardous gas and chemical distribution systems, facility construction, and safety requirements.
- Proven track record managing facility‑related projects from concept through completion.
- Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing equipment and support systems (required).
