Technical Program Manager – Digital Twin of Eye (R&D)

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead the Digital Twin of Eye project within its Modeling and Simulation (M&S) R&D team. You will shape the vision, strategy, and execution of multi‑physics eye models that support product and therapy development.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the strategic roadmap for the Digital Twin of the Eye, aligning with R&D objectives across technology platforms.
• Develop physically realistic multi‑physics models that simulate ocular physiology and interactions with Alcon products.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert in Computational Modeling & Simulation, applying FEA, CFD, and AI/ML methods.
• Establish verification and validation methodologies to ensure model credibility and scientific accuracy.
• Partner with R&D leaders and cross‑functional stakeholders to set objectives, create work plans, and build simulation capabilities.
• Manage external collaborations with academic, industry, and vendor partners, overseeing project schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and milestones.
• Provide technical leadership to internal and external teams, ensuring projects meet timelines, quality standards, and delivery expectations.
• Gather requirements, coordinate vendor activities, and review deliverables for alignment with project goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading complex technical programs, preferably in medical device or R&D environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to define strategy, manage budgets, and assess project risks.
• Experience establishing and maintaining external partnerships.
• Customer‑focused mindset and alignment with Alcon values.
