Technical Coordinator – Plate Heat Exchanger & Separator

About the role

Alfa Laval is seeking a Technical Coordinator to join its Service Operations team in La Porte, TX. You will provide technical support for repair and service activities across the Plate Heat Exchanger, High Speed Separator and Separator product lines, helping customers and internal teams solve complex equipment challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for customer equipment, repair processes and multiple product lines.
• Coordinate, prioritize and track service jobs through the workshop while communicating status updates to sales teams and customers.
• Research equipment history, interpret drawings and blueprints, and support special parts design in collaboration with engineering and vendors.
• Schedule and host customer inspections and equipment testing activities.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives such as 5S projects, process enhancements and support for business systems like ONE4AL.
• Maintain technical databases, repair documentation, inventory records and spare‑parts information.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent with relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in repair, reconditioning, manufacturing or customer‑service environments.
• Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong customer‑service, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within the U.S. and internationally.
