TechEdge Application Engineer III (E3)

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a TechEdge Application Engineer III to design, deploy and support advanced analytics solutions for semiconductor and display manufacturing sites. The role involves configuring AIX Analytics, implementing TE models, and providing technical guidance to internal and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and deploy optimized data collection plans and connect new tools to the AIX server.
• Implement TE models for complex applications, including operational and non‑wafer data models.
• Provide second‑level TechEdge support to existing sites and assist colleagues across geographic regions.
• Lead small projects and act as a resource for less‑experienced team members.
• Collaborate with FSO Account Teams to align deployment plans with service contract KPIs.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience with hardware on semiconductor or display tools, preferably high‑volume 300 mm environments.
• Field‑operation background with understanding of customer operational models and service business.
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline is preferred.
• Ability to solve complex problems using advanced analytics and to work with cross‑functional experts.

Required skills

• TE applications and model deployment.
• AIX Analytics and AIX server configuration.
• Advanced analytics, FDC and CSP platforms.
• Hardware experience on at least one semiconductor tool type.
• Knowledge of high‑volume 300 mm and display manufacturing processes.
