Tech Support Engineer – Hybrid (Lake Forest)

About the role

AVEVA is seeking a Tech Support Engineer to ensure the reliability and performance of client applications. The role combines hands‑on technical troubleshooting with collaboration across global R&D and field teams, and offers a hybrid work environment in Lake Forest, California.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain reliability and performance of client applications, addressing technical issues promptly.
• Assist Application Engineers during new site commissioning, system upgrades, and expansions.
• Coordinate with the global R&D Solution team to manage issue escalations.
• Develop corrective measures for technical application issues identified in‑field or in‑house.
• Resolve technical problems raised by end customers, application engineers, and engineering teams.
• Create and share knowledge‑base articles documenting issues and solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) covering operation, performance, and quality.
• Technical expertise in HMI or SCADA troubleshooting.
• Strong software and database troubleshooting, diagnosis, and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency in SQL database querying and programming.
• Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, and team‑oriented skills.
• Self‑motivated, proactive, customer‑focused attitude with willingness to travel occasionally.

• Angular, JavaScript, ASP.NET.NET CORE
• Familiarity with AVEVA System Platform, Historian, InTouch
• Basic understanding of control systems and PLCs
• MES (Manufacturing Execution System) concepts
