Team Leader – Inventory Control (Orleans)

About the role

As a Team Leader for Orleans Inventory Control, you will coordinate and support the daily plan for the material handling team, ensuring accurate and timely parts picking. You will train team members, resolve discrepancies, and lead root‑cause analysis to drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of material handlers to meet daily picking goals.
• Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to resolve operational issues.
• Conduct daily ALPS performance meetings and weekly improvement sessions.
• Run shift startup and handover meetings, ensuring clear communication.
• Participate in projects, problem‑resolution processes, and SOP development.
• Serve as liaison between the department, support functions, and the Team Manager.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2–4 years of warehouse logistics experience.
• 2–4 years of material‑handling equipment experience.
• Experience with handheld barcode scanners (Zebra preferred) and ERP systems (Microsoft D365 preferred).
• Strong attention to detail, self‑starter attitude, and good communication skills.

Required skills

• Zebra handheld barcode scanner operation.
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP proficiency.
• Certified forklift operation.
• Order picker operation.
