About the role

As a Tax JD Intern at PwC in Irvine, you will join the Tax practice for the Summer 2027 term. The internship provides a hands‑on learning environment where you will support tax teams, conduct research and observe professional tax services delivered to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Support tax teams in delivering comprehensive tax advice and planning strategies.
• Participate in the preparation and review of consolidated tax returns and income tax provisions.
• Assist in corporate tax planning and compliance activities to optimize tax positions.
• Engage in tax modeling and consulting to address client‑specific tax challenges.
• Contribute to post‑deal integration and tax‑and‑finance integration projects.
• Collaborate on purchase and sale agreements to facilitate seamless transactions.
• Conduct research on tax regulations and industry‑specific tax issues.
• Apply intellectual curiosity to explore innovative tax solutions and strategies.
• Actively listen, accept feedback and demonstrate teamwork with colleagues and clients.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or have completed a Juris Doctorate degree.
• Commitment to meet educational requirements and pass the Bar exam before starting full‑time at PwC.
• Typically in the second year of a three‑year JD program at the time of application.
