Tax Counsel

About the role

As a Tax Counsel for Bosch North America, you will act as a strategic legal partner, shaping the company’s tax footprint across high‑stakes mergers, acquisitions and post‑merger integrations. You will work at the intersection of law, finance and cross‑border commerce, helping the business navigate complex international tax landscapes.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the tax interface for M&A transactions in North America, structuring deals for tax efficiency and managing tax due diligence.
• Review and negotiate tax provisions in M&A agreements.
• Provide general tax planning support to matrix business units.
• Assist with post‑acquisition integration and legal entity simplification initiatives.
• Collaborate with legal, finance, treasury, HR and external advisors on corporate transactions.
• Offer tax legal guidance on domestic and international issues, including commercial contract review.
• Support permanent establishment reviews and transfer‑pricing models, defending positions in controversies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 3‑5+ years of tax advisory experience in an accounting firm, law firm or multinational corporation.
• Strong knowledge of corporate tax, international tax, transfer pricing and cross‑border transactions.
• Excellent contract drafting and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong written and oral English communication skills.
