Tax Associate – Canadian Tax (Shareworks)

About the role

The Tax Associate will support tax filing and reporting for Shareworks' global employee share plan business, focusing initially on Canada, the UK and Australia. The role combines data review, tax form preparation, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Review and ensure accuracy of Canadian tax reports (T5008, T3, T5, etc.).
• Maintain and update Excel tracking files for reporting values.
• Validate participant data and obtain necessary approvals for submissions.
• Prepare and file CRA and MRQ filings on time.
• Audit tax form generation and manage special handling or amendments for clients.
• Contribute to the annual tax production project plan and provide status updates to the Tax Manager.
• Document and update processes in the policy portal.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated with a strong desire to learn.
• Excellent time‑management skills, especially under tight deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate proactively with global teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using Shareworks or similar proprietary tax software.
