About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials engineering solutions for semiconductor and display manufacturing, is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager to lead critical projects and programs. You will drive the development and delivery of cutting‑edge equipment, ensuring alignment with product specifications, cost targets, and timelines while fostering a supportive, innovative culture.

Key responsibilities

• Define project objectives, milestones, and resource plans to ensure effective execution of systems engineering initiatives.
• Deliver projects in line with product/process specifications, budget constraints, and schedule commitments.
• Develop and coach team members, manage performance, hiring, rewards, and disciplinary actions.
• Oversee documentation, compliance with engineering policies, ISO standards, safety, and confidentiality requirements.
• Lead research and development of new technologies, integrating them into Applied Materials products and services.
• Manage departmental budgets and optimize computing resources for design activities.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in systems engineering concepts and related disciplines.
• Strong leadership ability to manage multiple teams, set priorities, and allocate resources.
• Proven problem‑solving skills for complex technical and operational challenges.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive business impact through projects and policies.

What we offer

• Competitive salary range of $185,000 – $254,000 per year.
