Systems Engineer - Robotics

About the role

Applied Intuition is seeking a Systems Engineer focused on robotics to define requirements, design architectures, and integrate cutting‑edge technology onto autonomous vehicles and defense platforms. The role blends systems engineering, software deployment, and hands‑on field testing in both office and operational environments.

Key responsibilities

• Define system requirements from user needs and operational concepts.
• Design system‑of‑systems architectures aligned with open standards such as PYRAMID and FCADE.
• Develop reference architectures for autonomy, mission, and weapon systems.
• Lead creation of engineering models and artifacts that capture critical design decisions.
• Deploy, test, and validate software on autonomous vehicles, focusing on robotics, sensors, and autopilot integration.
• Collaborate with perception, autonomy, data science, and field teams to ensure robust, safe operation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in systems engineering for robotics or autonomous vehicle projects.
• Ability to work in dynamic, field‑based settings and translate user needs into technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
