About the role
As a Systems Engineer you will design, integrate, and optimize advanced platforms and optical subsystems for semiconductor process equipment. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to translate process requirements into robust mechanical, electrical, and optical designs that meet performance and reliability targets.
Key responsibilities
- Lead architecture definition, design, integration, and testing of advanced platforms and optical subsystems such as etch, CMP, inspection, and metrology tools.
- Design and integrate precision mechanical, opto‑mechanical, and optical components, including stages, lenses, illumination sources, and motion‑control assemblies.
- Define system engineering specifications aligned with throughput, yield, uptime, and cost‑of‑ownership goals.
- Collaborate with process engineers, product management, and platform teams to ensure designs meet semiconductor process requirements.
- Prototype, qualify, and validate subsystems, performing rigorous reliability testing and compliance with SEMI standards.
- Partner with global suppliers to source and qualify components, driving design for manufacturability, serviceability, and cost optimization.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 4–7 years of hands‑on experience in industrial design, integration, and testing of high‑precision semiconductor equipment.
