Systems Engineer – Linux & Infrastructure

About the role

The Systems Engineer will manage and maintain Teza’s systems and storage infrastructure, working closely with development and trading operations teams to ensure smooth operation of all systems and applications.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Teza’s Linux servers, storage, and client infrastructure.
• Collaborate with development and trading operations teams to ensure system and application reliability.
• Monitor system performance using open‑source tools such as Icinga, Nagios or Zabbix and proactively resolve issues.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software problems and provide technical support to end‑users.
• Implement and maintain security measures, including identity management, SSO, LDAP and Kerberos.
• Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations and procedures.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation to address critical incidents promptly.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in systems infrastructure operations or a related field.
• Proficiency with Linux (RHEL or Debian based distributions).
• Strong scripting skills in Python and shell (Bash, Zsh).
• Experience automating with Ansible or Salt.
• Hands‑on experience with VMware virtualization.
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
