Systems Engineer III – Optical Lithography

About the role

As a Systems Engineer III you will design, integrate, and optimize complex optical lithography systems that enable advanced semiconductor packaging. You will work across cross‑functional teams to translate customer requirements into robust system architectures and ensure high‑performance delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead subsystem and optical assembly projects, planning, scheduling, and executing with cross‑functional teams.
• Develop and maintain error budgets, define subsystem requirements, and validate them during alpha testing.
• Design and execute experiments (DOE) to validate system performance and mitigate risks.
• Troubleshoot complex system‑level issues in manufacturing and field environments, implementing diagnostics and calibrations.
• Support manufacturing and customer sites by providing training, documentation, and rapid issue resolution.

Required profile

• MS or PhD in Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 0–7 years of experience with advanced optical‑based products in a volume manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• Design and integration of opto‑mechanical instrumentation.
• Design of Experiments (DOE) and test plan development.
• Data analysis and visualization (MATLAB, Python).
• System and subsystem software debugging.
• Optical metrology hardware/software development.
• Image processing and optical modeling/simulation.
• Project management and cross‑functional team leadership.
