About the role
The Systems Administrator will support the daily operation, maintenance, and reliability of USIC’s enterprise infrastructure. This hands‑on role works across Windows and Linux servers, cloud environments, and end‑user systems while collaborating with senior engineers, cybersecurity, and application teams.
Key responsibilities
- Install, patch, and upgrade Windows and Linux server operating systems and related software.
- Create, maintain, and remove user accounts, permissions, and security groups in Active Directory or Azure AD.
- Monitor system logs, performance metrics, and network connectivity to ensure high availability.
- Execute scheduled data backups, verify integrity, and perform restores as needed.
- Respond to and resolve infrastructure tickets and incidents, escalating when appropriate.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years of experience in systems administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong troubleshooting and documentation abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Proactive, team‑oriented mindset with a willingness to learn.
