Systems Administrator

About the role

Charles IT is seeking a Systems Administrator to join a growing team that delivers IT support and infrastructure services to a diverse client base. The role combines field and escalation support, ensuring reliable operation of Microsoft, virtualization, and networking environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑user technical support and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain and support Microsoft technologies such as Windows Server, Office 365/Exchange, SQL, and SharePoint.
• Administer virtual environments, including VMware and Hyper‑V.
• Manage backup and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Configure, install, and support network devices and services (WAN/LAN, routers, firewalls, security).
• Communicate ticket status, changes, and outages to customers.
• Document processes, procedures, and daily work in ConnectWise.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• 5+ years of relevant experience (preferred).
• Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, VCP, CCNA) are a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Self‑driven, capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
