Systems Administrator

About the role

The Chapin School, an independent K‑12 day school for girls in New York City, is seeking a full‑time Systems Administrator. Reporting to the Director of Technology, you will manage the school’s IT infrastructure, enhance security posture, and support the community through education and collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra, directory services, and other cloud platforms.
• Administer endpoint management, including configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Implement and monitor security controls, DLP solutions, and incident response procedures.
• Maintain server systems, virtualization platforms, and backup/disaster‑recovery processes.
• Oversee identity and access management (IAM) operations, including user provisioning and de‑provisioning.
• Develop automation scripts to streamline repetitive tasks.
• Collaborate with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) as the on‑site technical liaison.
• Document technical standards, procedures, and compliance artifacts.
